‘TOPES HOST “HAITIAN RELIEF PITCH” AT ISOTOPES PARK

The Albuquerque Isotopes, in conjunction with Citadel Broadcasting Company and the American Red Cross, held a “Haitian Relief Pitch” drive-thru fundraiser at Isotopes Park on Friday, January 22, with proceeds going towards victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

A special drive-thru was set up at Isotopes Park with volunteers collecting cash or check donations. Each person who donated received a voucher good for one free ticket to a 2010 Isotopes game and a raffle ticket from Citadel that gave them a chance to win merchandise, gift certificates to restaurants, and even ski vacations to Durango, Colorado.

On-air personalities from each of five Citadel stations - 770 KKOB, 93.3 KOB-FM, 92.3 KRST, 99.5 Magic FM, and 610 The Sports Animal - as well as the Isotopes’ loveable mascot Orbit and volunteers from the Red Cross were on hand throughout the afternoon collecting donations.

Money raised will go directly to the Red Cross to support relief efforts in Haiti, where nearly 3-million people, a third of the country’s entire population, are in need of emergency aid.
